The Oakes Family: Adelaide Family Photographer

This week in Adelaide has been so inspiring and joyful!

I have loved spending time with family and friends yet missed my family back in Sydney equally as I see the love between other people and their families, lucky I brought my little Noah otherwise I might have been a mess.

I was lucky enough to be flown down to Adelaide by my cousin Ingrid who wanted me to take photos of her little clan.

The day before her shoot I had put up the photos on my blog of  the session with my sister Kate and her insanely cute kids and so the morning that I turned up to Ingrid's house she was so nervous that she and her family were not photogenic enough.

I assured her that it was definitely not true and that even with the most unwilling child that I was there to catch the glimpses of love and fun that comes from the love that they all share and not from manufactured poses.

As I sat down with her the other night and showed her the finished images of her family, she wept. I was so touched and humbled to be able to give her something that touched her so deeply and reaffirmed to her the love that was present in her home..

She then continued to gush at how beautiful her children were and what a great father that Neil is to them. A look of pride filled her countenance.

This people, is why I take photos ...
